Centennial Cattle Drive Reaches the End of The Trail
On behalf of the Oklahoma Centennial Chisholm Trail Cattle Drive, we want to express our thanks to all people
who supported the cattle drive-from those that watched through the media and parades, watched along the
trail and visited our camps. It was a great event.
We had no serious injuries in our crew. When we arrived in Caldwell on October 5th, all cattle were accounted
for and well. We lost only one steer, not due to the drive, but succumbed to illness and
died in the hospital pen.
It was through the united help of a great group of people with determination and tenacity to
see our goals met. Our main objective in this event was to commemorate what the cattle drive
era did for Oklahoma and our country. We feel that we met this objective.
